Working with Middlesbrough
The local economy is small-business heavy. Linthorpe Road runs the length of the retail spine — family-run shops like Linthorpe Beds, which has traded here since 1991, sit alongside the usual high-street names. The Middlesbrough Town Centre BID covers the core TS1 area and pulls in levy money for cleaning and events. The North East Chamber of Commerce runs regular sessions for the region's firms. Outside retail, Teesside University and the hospital are the biggest employers, with a long tail of tradesmen — joiners, plasterers, plumbers — working the housing stock in Acklam, Marton and Linthorpe ward. Steel and chemicals have shrunk, but the port and a small digital/creative cluster around MIMA have picked up some of the slack.
Every Middlesbrough site is hand-coded, mobile-first, and shipped on its own domain. There's nothing for you to maintain — hosting, SSL, backups, updates and small content edits are all in the £25/month plan. You'll deal directly with me from brief to launch, by email or WhatsApp, in plain English.
